在船舭里滞留不动的一层脏水的量太少，所以常规的阳极不可能实现保护。人们做过实验，用导电性胶黏剂把非常扁的阳极附着在抛光的表面上，结果表明这种方法并不非常有效，而采用带有钢芯的铝或锌合金线状阳极却取得较好结果。这样的线状阳极直径头6~10mm，成长环状直接敷设在甲板上，它们穿过固定不动的结构件并用钎焊固定在位将锌粉撒在有关部位能增加活性，提供额外的保护。10~100pm的锌粉撒在腐蚀坑里可以实现良好的局部保护，当然，需要经常撒锌粉，比如每3~6个月撒一次。线状阳极一次安装可以使用2年。
